Company Summary

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description Summary

  • Provides high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to patients and supports hospital operations through clinical services, emergency response, and preventive health initiatives                  
  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to staff and eligible dependants through outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and on-call services
  • Promote preventive health and wellness initiatives
  • Support training and continuing medical education
  • Deliver specialized care based on clinical expertise
  • Contribute to daily hospital operations
  • Work closely with the Occupational Health Manager to plan and deliver occupational health services
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned by medical leadership

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and ambulatory care to staff and eligible dependants through regular clinical consultations and reviews
  • Deliver inpatient and on-call medical care, including responding to emergencies and 24-hour call duties when required
  • Promote preventive health services, including disease prevention, health promotion, and wellness activities
  • Coordinate and support training and continuing medical education activities
  • Offer specialized clinical services based on areas of expertise, such as internal medicine, paediatrics, surgery, family medicine, occupational health, and related specialties
  • Support hospital operations by contributing to day-to-day medical service delivery and carrying out additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Work collaboratively with the Occupational Health Manager to support the planning and delivery of occupational health services
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned by medical leadership

Experience & Qualifications

Core requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent
  • Fellowship in clinical specialties (Fellowship of the Nigerian or West African Postgraduate Medical College or Equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5 years and not more than 15 years of post-fellowship clinical experience
  • Knowledge/Experience of Occupational Medicine.

Additional requirements:

  • Experience in Medical Emergency preparedness and management. Current BLS, ACLS and ATLS certification is an advantage
  • Knowledge and experience of Preventive Healthcare and medical practice in a reputable institution
  • Information technology skills, specifically experience with medical information systems
  • Hospital/Health systems management and administration skills
  • Ability to lead teams – strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration capabilities

  • Relevant fellowship with 5–15 years’ post-fellowship experience
  • Hands-on inpatient, acute, and emergency care experience
